Likestarlings is a place for talking in poems. We pair poets with poets and they write a sequence of six new works by responding in turn to one another. Sarah Hymas grew up in Harrogate, Yorkshire, then lived in London and on the south coast for ten years. She sailed around the Pacific, Iceland and Ireland before finally settling in Lancaster. She has collaborated with other writers and artists, and her work has appeared in single collections, anthologies, magazines, multimedia exhibits, dance videos, improvised operas and theatre brochures. Her first collection of poetry, Bedrock, is due out with Waterloo in autumn 2009. She currently works as the editor for Flax, the publishing imprint of Lancaster’s literature festival.
