Nicky grew up in Herefordshire but has spent the last two years studying and teaching in Austin, Texas, where she was awarded a James A. Michener Fellowship (Univ. Texas, 2008) and nominated for Best New Poets Anthology 2008 (Meridian, USA). Her paintings are widely published, including in the Bat City Review. She lives in London with her husband.
