Aidan Semmens read of himself in Jacket magazine in 2002 – in an interview with his former Perfect Bound co-editor Peter Robinson – that he 'has long given up writing poetry'. He has since had work in Shearsman, Great Works, Shadowtrain, Stride, Jack, Blackbox Manifold, Free Verse and Jacket itself. He has one collection seeking a publisher and is working on a sequence of 'distressed sonnets' broadly based on the Russian Jewish experience. He is a sports sub-editor for the News of the World and a columnist for the Ipswich Evening Star.
