Mary Crockett Hill's recent book of poetry, A Theory of Everything, was selected by Naomi Shihab Nye for the Autumn House Award and nominated for the Virginia Book of the Year. Her work has been selected for Best of the Net Anthology and nominated for the Pushcart Award. Mary is also author of the award-winning book of poetry, If You Return Home with Food, and co-author of the history A Town by the Name of Salem. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in numerous magazines and websites, including the Boston Review, River Styx, Night Train, Pank, Juked,Rhino, Gargoyle, Poetry Daily, From the Fishouse, and the anthology American Poetry: The Next Generation. She teaches writing at Roanoke College, where she serves as guest editor of the Roanoke Review.
