Benjamin Paloff grew up in Atlantic City. He received his undergraduate and doctoral degrees from Harvard and an MFA from the University of Michigan, where he is currently Assistant Professor of Slavic Languages and Literatures and of Comparative Literature. A past fellow of the National Endowment for the Arts and the Fulbright Foundation, he is the author of The Politics, a collection of poems, and the translator of several books from Polish, most recently Marek Bienczyk's Transparency, Krzysztof Michalski's The Flame of Eternity: An Interpretation of Nietzsche's Thought, and Andrzej Sosnowski's Lodgings: Selected Poems. He lives in Ann Arbor.
